30mill during a time im on a savings crunch to upgrade other abs and the cost of upgrading spy abs = just too dang expensive!
i suck with spy!! lol maybe the one tree i dont feel comfortable useing

it says that "passive buffs from other trees are allowed" and "free fire melee allowed" so ofcourse IF i were to participate i would prolly use some sort of crazy hybrid that people would complain about.

thrown damage bonus 2%
thrown accuracy bonus 2%
ballistic damage resistance 33 pts
viral damage resistance 33 pts

I wouldint say its a waste but I will say that if your stated for what your doing then the 50% damage bonus from stats should be plenty if you use the right abs at the right times. I prefere to fouces on being able to survive taking as much damage before I start to worry about dealing damage. My upgrade master loadout for example; my highest damage move is a lvl 1 headbutt...and yet i can still beat people and solo tasky =)

Iv said it before but just so where clear....I am no expert on spy so all my advice is really just general stuff that I have found usefull for every OTHER tree. I would suggest pumping up your res to like 230+ and THEN worry about how much damage/accuracy you have. well shoot actually....before worring about damage/accuracy and after pumping your res I would suggest figuring out the combo of moves your gonna use. spy has alot of ways to cause stun or powerless or accuracy/damage downgrades and stuff....theres alot possable things you could do.

uhmm with 230+ res and some decent def you just might survive long enough for them to run outa IS (I do this all the time...just sit on block or grab and let them run outa IS)....jsut make sure you dont get hit with anything super high damamge like a punt!

I'm sure the first attack will be paralyzing throw followed by backing up, loading a disguise and punting. I think I know a way to counter it, but I still need practice.

you know what...i just MIGHT join this tourny. I didnt relize it was so far away (the 31st) and i have recently found a new cash crop that has payed out considerably more then what i was needing...even enough to upgrade my spy tree. the stats on the assasin mask arent exactly the kind of stats i would usually incorperate into a load/set of cloths...and the curruption pulse doesint look too appealing....but its the freakin assassin mask! it looks cool and stuff =)

I have been countering punts since i started running gunman...shoot...the way i think about defending against punts is like the fight goes through multiple phases...(all my loads are IL loads so my objective is to pull the spy into IL before they can punt me)

phase 1: the spy needs my sheild down in order to punt...while they are trying to break my shield I try to break theres...this takes some practice and some luck but the idea is to make dam sure that you break their shield before the next phase...
phase 2: once your shield is down then the spy will try to root you (if they havint done it already) and then they will back away to put on a disguise....once they break your shield do everything you can to close the distance between the two of you...they cant sneak or put on a disguise if your standing right in their face!
phase 3: if they maange to get your shield down AND their disguise on and they are on approach to punt you...if you manageed to get their shield down in phase 1 and it is still down then you can IL them before they get behind you for the punt. if their shield is up...then your in trouble but the buttons you push are basically the same! switch to grab and hit their shield! this is important because it takes away some of their IS (24pts i think) AND for a few moments it forces your rsi to constantly face them making it dam near impossable for them to punt you cuz they cant get behind you.

i hope he gets banned for this. i didnt even enter (afterall) and i still feel ripped off.

the very first line of text says it is a tournament to win the RAREST item in the game, and there is no doubt that it is the assassin's mask.

i truely hope he gets banned and his mask sent to the real winner. if it doesnt happen, i wont even be able to describe how disgusted i will be at sony.

His rank is reduced to New Recruit. I think he got banned, but who knows.

I don't really feel ripped off, but I can imagine how pissed off BlazinWolf must be.

According to people who use Assassin/ MKT, he, Zudrag and Ballak bastardized the the ability trees with the rules.

I still feel like it is a trick and he will give the real mask when he gets un-banned.

it looks like he's been suspended and is going to quit if/when he gets unsuspended, though the fate of the assassin's mask is still undetermined.

I feel he just went too far to over emphasize that you'd be winning the assassin's mask. had he not of included the line stating you'd win the "rarest item" and not of put so much detail into the assassin's mask and its abilities with pictures of it, i dont think this would have received as much attention when the prizes were given out.
