Perfect song choice! /cheer
Busy here, the semester is in full swing and students are killing me with teh dramaz. *sigh* Also, the non-stop cold El Nino rain is starting to get on my nerves. But I'm going to Florida this weekend to meet some east coast friends, so I'm really looking forward to some sun and warmth.

I would complain about you complaining about rain, but weather has been pretty good in my neck of the wood. I'm near Canada but all the snow has melted and it's 40 degrees in the days.
I haven't been to Florida in a while. My grandmother has a house in Boca Raton, but I can't get away now. Meretrix is down there last I heard.

Im doing good. I still am working as an intern for the state during my last semester in college. I also am a TA this semester for a computer class that is so basic the instructor herself said "if you fail this class you should just drop out of college and start practicing flipping burgers." (that was said to me of course, not to the class lol) Basically I am just going through the next few months until I graduate, hoping I can find a job somewhere to pick up after graduation. My father's birthday is a week from today and my sister and I are getting him a computer. Acutally we are buying the parts and I am building him a computer. I also bought a ticket yesterday for a convention for a childhood love of mine so i will be going to Cali at the end of August for a few days. Hmm, what else? I got back into WoW, after taking a break from it around christmas. My character just hit lvl 19 last night (/shout to Variel that I'm getting up there). I am enjoying it more than I thought I would. The landscapes are just so out there that it keeps me interested with all the different places you can explore. Granted to say that if the emulator for MxO ever gets to a truely functional status where we can all jack in again on a server, my interest in WoW will most likely die rather quickly lol.

It's not very far off. The devs are working on setting up a server that will hold a small amount of people. There will be no missions or hyper jump, so it will be a virtual chatroom. How many people exactly? 10 ... may 50 ... maybe 100. Who knows. But I think it will hold the 3 of us. A larger server will be in the works wherever the timeline is appropriate for it. I'm glad you guys posted in this thread to keep me up on how you have been. Hopefully I'll get myself a full time job and then earn the right to go away on vacation. Then I'll post about that. In the meantime, I'm planning on entering another grappling and jiu jitsu tournament for next weekend. It's in RI at a casino, not sure which one. How many casino's can there be in RI? The state is twice as big as my apartment! Anyhow, I'll post a video and let you know how that goes.

personally im afraid to go to the emulator site...it gets me too excited to think it might be back so i'll just have to ask you V...lol....
Is it ever going to get back to the functionality it was? Where you can mission, and jump, and farm, and lvl, and all the other goodies?

It's fun to have you back in WoW, Tyg. I still regret that we don't have many lowbie folks for you to run with in the guild... the solo grind can be kind of annoying, believe me, I know. Have you tried doing the random dungeon queue? You can get nice loot and it generates great xp, plus it's a welcome break from constant questing.
I just sent you some shiny new gloves and a kick-ass belt, hopefully they give you more of an edge.

Where you can mission, and jump, and farm, and lvl, and all the other goodies? The devs attend college and code MxO in their spare time. If they continue to work on the game, then yes, it will be as functional as when the game ended. If they get tired of doing it and stop, there is still hope because they have cracked the code transfer from client to server. But apparently no one else is currently as knowledgable in the coding to contribute other than the 2 current devs. Keep in mind they are not getting any kind of monetary contribution to do this. No donations, nothing. They are paying out of pocket for the server, the forums and whatever else they need to re-make the game. As for missions, I have most all the critical missions logged in screenshot format. Once Othinn gets to it, we'll have all the contact missions. With some other fansites out there, we have all the dialog for all collectors and other npcs in the City. So the opportunity is there.

Update time
I fought in a jiu jitsu tournament yesterday. I dropped a weight class and entered 2 divisions; the gi division and no-gi division.
First was the No-gi tournament. I was winning my first match 6-0 and nearly submitted him 3 times. They he worked an arm-bar and I had no way out but to tap.
I was pretty bummed but got over it quickly. Since there were a good number of people in that division and I lost early on I was eliminated and no chance to go for 3rd place.
So the gi division started and I was nervous because I am better in no-gi. But I won my first three matches and found myself in the finals. Once match was really close, too. 0-0 but I had 1 "advantage" because I attempted a submission.
So in the final match I took my time and managed to score some points keeping dominant control. With about a minute left, I wanted to press the action to keep him on the defense instead of offense and locked up a shoulder lock called an Americana. I started to apply pressure and he squirmed around and put himself in a worse position. Before I knew it he was tapping my back and it was over!
Pictures and video to come...

So at that tournament they ran out of awards before I got one. They sent it out and I just got mine in the mail today. Behold: I was supposed to get a medal but they sent me this samurai sword instead!

That is awesome. I love how there's a copy of "No Biting" sitting nearby--I picture your coach recommending that to you after you got carried away at a tournament.

I found out a short while ago that my scheduled opponent has dropped out of the fight due to work. Oh well. They are working on getting me another opponent. Nothing in my training is going to change, nor with my strategy. As long as he's not a master knife thrower, I'm okay.
